Guess I ignored my milling machine for too long. Would it be correct that I need to manually go through the full setup before anything will work. Working fine with CNC12 V4.82. When attempting to upgrade report restore is rejected. Do I need to install the various versions in order or can I just go to 5.06 and proceed with the manual setup?

Found video and watched. Decided to stay with 4.82 for now.

Reports only work on the same version. Install 5.06 and manually enter your parameters.

cnckeith, I found your 5.0 upgrade video very instructive. I will upgrade to the latest, maybe for christmas. LOL

Is there a better way of doing this than going through the whole Wizard dialog and filling it in based on old screenshots from the Wizard?

This is the only thing holding me back from regular updates, but the pain/benefit ratio based on how I'm doing it now is just too high. I feel like I must be missing something everyone else knows about.

hmmm takes about 5 minutes for a not heavliy customized system. not much of a pain to me.

that being said we are working on a "import report.zip" feature for the Wizard that would save you that 5 minutes.

Yep, not a pain for me either taking around 30 minutes total for my 3 machines and that's with the added complication of controlling all from 1 CNCPC!!

Yea, it's reasonably straight forward but takes care and a steady hand as I control them with batch CMD files.

Shouldn't say too much as Gary is known to frequent these Forums with his Batman sketch at the ready

Your new CTRL + P facility is definitely a bonus by the way where minor config changes following maintenance etc are captured as an easy reminder.
