STEPPER MOTOR CABLE

Post by Tymco »

I have completed all my bench test and feel I'm ready to attach the stepper motors to the mill. I have watched several great videos but non show how to installl the motors. The stepper has two cables. when purchasing kit the show longer cables. but the second cable is only 14 inches about. I have seen systems hooked to the wall a distance from the acorn board. What is missing???

The DB9 cable is the extension for the encoder of course, you can even cut it to length if you like and solder up a new connector. As for the motor cable, I'm assuming you mean this one, you will have to extend this to what ever length you need and connect it to the drive.
