Going from V4.62 to V4.82 PROBLEM

I have some problems and questions
The first issue is that I have no activity on my servos.. I had a custom drive DYN4_DB25 that I had been using with no issues...I found it and copied it from the prior install
During the set up I was unable to find several of the OUTPUTs I had used, I had VFDENABLE VFDDIRECTION VFDRESET OUT These don't seem like they are available.
Can I get my old VCP settings back?
I have shut everything down a few times to ensure that I am starting with everything cycled
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
EDIT The version V4.16 was not right.

Did you select that drive config in the custom list, and then "Load Drive" at the bottom of the page? The previous I/O should populate then too. Write settings after that.

First thing to ask, how did you enter in the settings for V4.82? Those need to be hand keyed and can not be done from a report.

Input and Outputs are now "categorized" make sure you use the drop down filter that says All.

Yes they were hand entered from previous screenshots
When starting from cold I have servos locked but when moving, specifically the x axis ( i have the cover off) I lose the lock

I've gone through and double checked the settings in the wizard...found a few items. INPUTS were not saved. I changed the Drive type xml file to correct the steps.
I still have the situation where the servos are locked when CNC12 runs but the axes don't move, and after I try the axes are no longer locked

Next step will be to use the DMM app to move the axes, however I don't see the problem as a DMM issue

UPDATE - apparently there was a nut loose behind the keyboard

I had a custom VCP for my prior MILL install so I copied all the items to get it back to what I had. Now I see that the latest standard VCP has some features like diagonal jog that are new. I haven't studied the wizard options but it seems like there were several skin files - is it possible to toggle a new skin to check the options?

I too have custom VCP's on my various machines so my updates take a lot longer than the average user. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem. I have a spare thumb drive that holds my backup files for all my custom settings. Now when I update I always do manual updates (no restore report) and copy over all my custom buttons, skins, images, macros, smoothing profiles, tool library, axis drive configuration backup, custom homing file, CNC12 license file etc. It does take longer but it works every time. Occasionally I also have a loose nut behind the keyboard but after I tighten it everything just works. :D

I have changed the value name in the "options.xml" file to see the various skins and to see how the diagonal buttons work but I still default back to just the old school X and Y buttons.

You can simply edit your skin file to add in just the diagonal buttons if you just want to try them.

I use a network drive to keep all my files but since I only have one machine and don't do very often it's a bit of a chore. I just copied the CNCM folder prior to upgrade and figured I'd go find all the required files...which seemed to work. I still have a couple buttons to update so I'll see about adding in some stuff, although the x-y moves aren't something I expect to use very often. Maybe I should talk to my software friends and see what they say about automating the update...
Going through the wizard and manually updating had to be done more than once before things worked properly but once I got the nut under control...The biggest issue, for me, was getting the axes to move in the proper directions. This would be a great use for dual monitors....
