spindle encoder

Can I please get some recomdations for spindle encoders that will work, my machine has a shotpin for spindle orientation. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Brand model would be helpful

Any of the Ajax encoders will work fine:

You should be able to use any differential encoder that meets our specs see:

Though a spindle encoder doesn't require as much resolution as a servo axis. 250 line encoder (1000ppr) would be fine.
Also, keep in mind that you'll need a VFD that supports orientation if you are going to get rid of your shot pin. A Delta-VE with encoder board option works well
