I have a two-year-old Next Wave Automation Model 20090 Touch Probe but can't get it to hook up to the Acorn Board.
When I plug in the probe it shows the probe connected but when the probe is tripped the red light comes on in the probe but does not show any connection to the board. NWA says the probe is an NPN NO and operates between 5 and 24 VDC. I have tried to bypass the probe switch but nothing ever shows up that the probe is tripped. If I program the Probe to be NC it shows the probe being tripped.
Really need your help as I can't figure this one out.

Re: Touch Probe
Figured out what the problem was!!
The cable had an intermittent break in it.
REPLACED THE CABLE AND ALL IS FINE.
