I am coming from a MP3600 from candcnc. My motor is stepper motor driven by a Gecko G540 and 48V power supply. Machine was originally a CNC router that I converted to plasma in 2020. I run a Hypertherm Powermax 85. Z is an 8" Z from Velox that was converted to float design. Snap N Cut torch mount mounted to that. Rack and pinion gears and plates from cncrouterplates. Water table and bladder design based on internet inventables article on the 55 gal tank and pvc solution.

question for you, does the machine have gear/belt reduction between the axis motor and the rack?

Yes Keith, cnc routerparts rack and pinion gears and plates and belt reduction. Nema 23 setup. I will send pics of them to the folder on google photos.

Would you share the settings for the Step/Rev and how is your stepper driver configured??? in terms of micro stepping and current. I have similar setup using Avid Rack and pinon system with nema23 stepper but still can't find the right settings???

ultramegaok, post photos and info on your machine and control components and we can help you. would be good to start a build thread for your project so all info is in one spot. -k
