Output 5 and 6 wont activate and other questions...

Few questions-
So Ive got my machine up and running but I cant get outputs 5 and 6 to activate- kind of- I can go into (alt I ) diagnostic and turn them on, but whatever i assign them to (lets say FLOOD, or spindle direction) they wont turn on . I can set any output (like Flood) to any other output and it works as it should (just click FLOOD on the vcp- just not on outputs 5 and 6. Everything else currently is working as it should.
Is there any way to save my acorn configuration settings to a file?
My mill (tree j250) has a spindle lock solenoid, and i understand how to wire it- But with the original control (dynapath) it wouldn't let me activate it if the spindle was turning, and it wouldnt let me start a program with it on. If you guys have any recommendations on how i could replicate that with a plc that is already there? I was looking in the plc detective and saw #275 spindleislocked (currently not selectable in wizard) and i was wondering if that was something i could use.
