Hi-lol gear switch

Post by Bastard Thread »

I need a little help wiring the hi-lo switch.
I have a Bridgeport V2XT and installing an all in one cnc control. The wiring diagram shows a two wire switch, my Bridgeport has a three wire proximity switch.
Thanks for any help,Keith.

Connect the brown wire to +12VDC or +24VDC (whatever level you are using for your PLC inputs).
Connect the blue wire to 0VDC.
Connect the black wire to the appropriate PLC input (e.g. INP13).

It is probably a PNP sensor, so you will need to configure that bank of PLC inputs (e.g. INP13 - INP16) as current-sinking inputs: this means you would connect 0VDC (rather than +12 or +24) to the common terminal for INP13-INP16.
