I did a search through the forum as well as the user manual and cannot seem to find an answer.

I am running parts with tool paths that are quite close to overlapping but I'm not sure how negative comp would affect that. As you can see in the pics, I'm trying to use cutter comp (G42 for LH cut) to remove that step and do a final clean up pass at full depth. The look ahead is only allowing a portion of the offset to be applied and only in certain locations along the tool path.
Machine is a 10x50 Millport running Allinonedc board and whatever the latest centroid software version was 2 months ago.

You cannot "disable lookahead" in cutter comp. Cutter comp needs to look ahead at least one move in order to do its job.

You can change the number of lines that it looks ahead, via Parameter 99. That has to do with interference checking, and may apply to your situation if you have moves that overlap once compensated, and you want to run through them anyway (accepting that it is going to gouge the other side of the slot in the process).

I can't really tell from your picture and description, but perhaps your question really has to do with comp startup / lead-in or with comp end / lead-out. Once you find a way to copy the CNC and, if applicable, ICN program files off your control and post them here, then we will be able to make some more informed suggestions.
