Hello All,

I'm chomping at the bit to build a CNC plasma cutting system using an Acorn controller! Any idea when the updated software that includes plasma cutting features discussed in a previous post will be available?

Really excited to move forward and expect to start putting a system together before the end of the year. Thx!

Its on the agenda of things to develop. There are aftermarket torch height controllers that work with Acorn. There are some users that are using Acorn with Plasma. Do a search of Plasma to find some more information if you haven't already. Search box is in the upper right hand corner of this page.

Thanks for following up! I follow your exploits on Youtube all the time.

Sounds like there's no specific dates at this point for completion or a beta? Actually responded to another post where they discussed development of the plug in and if I understood correctly cnckeith mentioned they were starting to work on it last month.

There were a number of features discussed for an acorn plasma software plug in and wanted to get an idea as to whether I should wait or proceed as others have done and buy a third party THC and integrate accordingly. Don't want to do things twice if I don't have to especially if the plug in is weeks or even a few months from release.

hey guys.. right now we are working on one acorn project at a time.. we are small company. so V4.20 release is what we have been working on for the last few months. Plasma programming work is on hold until then. Plasma definition work continues all the time..
