Hey new guy here, ok so I set up my acorn (for lathe) using other for config, my first problem is I can not get my home switches/estop (limits set to 1staxishomeok,2ndhomeok,estopok)to trigger at all. I tried wireing them using single inputs 1 and 2, estop on 8, NC and NO and the I/0 never triggered, then I wired in series, and same thing no matter how I wired them the inputs never trigger. Then I tried just a sigle wire and touching com just to see if it would trigger and nothing. Took the estop wires and touch directly together and apart and still nothing. Its like the board will not even look at inputs. What am I doing wrong? I set wizard to home to switches m92 set 1 then 2. Second problem is the DRO shows no numbers only dashes, now I dont know if this is because the home switches are not working? Motors I can manually move with toggles but DRO doesnt work. Any ideas on that? I tried seaching forum but can't find any issues like mine.

Have you wired 24v+ to the terminal(s) marked +24v on each of the input banks you are using?

No I haven't, is that what they are? I thought those were where you can get 24v+ from. So you need to wire 24v+ to the inputs? I will do that if so.

Ok now that I am looking back over the pinout I see it says 24v in. Ok over sight on me. Now my question is why didnt they just connect blocks on the main board off the main 24v+?

They provide the reference voltage for the inputs. In some systems this could be, 5, 12 or 24v, hi or low. You may want to look over the manual and schematics, as a wrong connection can "let the magic smoke out"
