Enhancement to Intercon Mill Facing Cycle

Is it possible to change the mill facing cycle in Intercon to allow a zero value for the depth? Often I am working on a vacuum plate facing material to thickness and I have my WCS zero set to the face of the vacuum plate. The surface height value in the facing routine is the part thickness I want to end at, so I would like to have a 0 depth value but at the moment the routine requires a non-zero value.

with z zero being at the table.

in Intercon in the Face canned cycle set surface height higher than the highest point on the raw stock and then set the Depth to yield the desired thickness.

for instance raw 1" thick stock that i want at .9875" finished thickness i would set Surface Height at 1.010" and then to get .9875 subtract 1.010-.9875 and enter into the Depth field.

For the situation Tom described (facing down to Z0.0) just enter a small positive value for "Surface Height", and the same value for "Depth".

E.g.
Surface Height = 0.0100
Depth = 0.0100

That said, I don't see any reason Intercon could not be changed to allow "Depth" to be zero in the Facing cycle.

That's what I currently do. Just don't like subtracting. If I want a 0.9875 thickness, I would like be able to put in 0.9875 somewhere.

I guess that's better than telling me where to put the 0.9875 :D

Along with Keith SLOTTING Cycle!! Very handy to have!
Intercon needs some love in the upgrade/enhancement department too!

i use the rectangular pocket as a slotting cycle and sometimes the framing cycle depending if i am opening up an existing slot or creating new....
but we can create a new one "Marty's Spiffy Slotting Cycle" tell us how you imagine it would work.

You are the one that told ME about it.
Two points, move back and forth between the two...or pick a point and how much in the negative/positive direction to move
If there are multiple cool slots, then an option to mirror them.
