AIO DC FAULTS

I am diying a mill and am having issues with faults. then i last worked in this machine FEB 2018 i had the table moving in mdi and with the jog panel. the table movements were erratic. the first move would move 1/2 the distance i directed it to move and the second move was the correct distance. then the y axis motor was running in the red zone if i tried to move the table at full speed. i changed motors and the same thing happened i made a post here about the erratic moves and it was suggested to upgrade to v 3.16 so i did that and got a desktop computer instead of the intended laptop i had been using. some health problems put this project to the side and now here i am back at it however... new faults are showing up on the controller. 412 mpg1 encoder errors one fault. when i flip the dip switches to defeat the limits i get a #1 on the led1. i opened the motors looking for a wiring problem and nothing is evident, i get a z- limit fault and cannot clear it.
the curious thing why am i now having fault issues that were not there when i left off.
attached is a report and photos of the fault messages also photos of the dip switches.

You have nothing plugged in to the MPG header. That explains the MPG error.

1 is normal. Errors flash with decimal point lit. What did you have before flipping the limit defeat (4.?)?

On (defeat) is down for the blue DIP switches. The limit is cleared in the second photo. This must have been taken after you pushed down the defeater.

At the time of your 5/21/19 report, at least, you had INP5 inverted. That would cause it to appear open (tripped) when the circuit is closed, and vice versa.

What do you see on the Alt-i PLC diagnostic display?
