Allin1DC E-Stop Circuit

In the TB 286 it shows running both the DC + and - between the rectifier and the VM terminals on the Allin1 thru the E-Stop contactor but the print number S14746R14 only shows running the V+ thru the E-Stop contactor (CNT1).

You only need one to stop the motor, but since you'll have unused circuits on the contactor, it doesn't hurt to switch both. Brushed servos act as generators when back driven, so cutting both motor leads insures that no stray voltages are floating around if something should short in the windings.

I usually run the +VM through all 3 contacts in series. This creates more of an "air gap" and helps prevent arc across on contacts which happens when breaking circuit on higher voltage DC.
