BOSS to Allin1DC Conversion end of travel and home switch questions

On the original BOSS control, The X and Y EOT switches are wired NC and are in series with Z + and Z - EOT NC in the E-Stop circuit along with the spindle motor overload and low lube signal. There is NOT an + and - switch on the X and Y axis, only one switch on these two axis, so is this OK to duplicate on the Allin1DC Retrofit?
The original BOSS home switches are wired NO. Can the signals be successfully inverted in the software?

i've done a bunch of boss machines.. all the switches i have run into allow for a NC or NO connection, post photos of your switches.
easiest way to setup is:
Z + limit
X- limit
Y+ limit
then use software travel limits to stop motion from crashing into other side of each axis.
once you get that up and running, its a good idea to use a limit on the Z-, X+, and Y- as well. just outside of the software travel limit, limits.
in general its not a good idea to use a NO switch, b port did that since they have some very crude way of homing back in the early stepper days.

I was able to convert all my switches to NC and I understand the software travel limits for the other side of travel. I am using print S14754.R4 for BOSS OPTION but it only has a home defined for rotary Axis. Which inputs are used for home inputs?

You home the machine using the limit switches.
I.e., the home switch input numbers are the same as the limit switch input numbers.
You will need to defeat the missing limit switches (e.g. X+, Y-) using the DIP switches on the Allin1DC.

So the home and over travel are the same input? Or is there software travel limits both ways from the limit input?

So I just watched Marty's video on setting up limit switches. My BOSS machine has separate switches on X, Y, and Z for home and ONLY ONE EOT on X and Y axis. Z axis had a + and - EOT Switch. The home switches are close to the EOT switches on each axis. Do you recommend using the original home switch for one end limit and the original EOT for the opposite end limit?

either way.. is ok.
typically the home and the limit switch are the same switch like cncsnw mentioned..
if the machine has both home and limit switches simply remove the ones you don't need and use one switch per axis and direction.
