Hi,
After installing 4.14 i'm having some homing issues. When i home, it moves to the limit swich and then tries to back
off. However it does not back off the swich enough to close it again.
Is there a parameter somewhere that i can configure to tell it to back off more?

From reading the manual on M91/92, it looks like the back-off to clear distance is 0.25" and not adjustable. Is this something that just started happening? Are you over-running the limit switch on the first home approach? Video and current report would help.

It worked just fine before upgradning. i'm using metric, not sure if that is the issue?

what kind of limit/home switches are installed?

v4.14 ....The M91/M92 commands have been modified so that when moving back off the home switch, the max distance moved for a linear axis will be a quarter inch or one motor rev, whichever is greater while looking for a switch to clear.

I loaded the provided report in my bench top system i do see some strange action with your setup.., not sure of the cause at the moment, checking into it now.
in the meantime i was able to get it to home out with a little rearrangement
In the Wizard Set Input 1 to HomeAll and set input 2 and 3 to Unused.
then rearrange the limit switch wiring to Input 1 in series. (if using normally closed switches.) and it works.

I have done as you suggested and connected the switches as described, however i still have problems leaving the switch after its been triggered for one of the axis (z).
Is my only option to find some other switches or figure out a way to attach them so that the "arm" of the switch is as short as possible? I now have two axis that works, and i'm assuming that that is because of the "arm" length of the switch.

Right, so after writing the previous post, i found that i had answered my own question .. i made some new brackets for my Z axis to mount the homing switch with less of an "arm".. and then Bob was you uncle.

So everything works now, thanks Keith

Having the same issue with the same switches. I use them because of their long reach. Everything was working really nicely before update and adjusting my switches would require me to modify my atc setup. If it is possible to change a parameter for max backoff distance that would be preferable.

0.25" of clearing distance would be 6.35mm which should be more than enough to clear every kind of home switch.

Why do I have the suspicion that the 0.25" end up as 0.25mm on a Metric system!?

Unfortunately I can't find that parameter to confirm...
