I had a problem with Wifi signal in my garage. Turns out you can buy signal boosters. Here is the one I purchased from Target for $29. It seems to work just fine and now I can run Team Viewer over the WiFi in my garage.

The booster can "clone" the name of your main router. That didn't work for me - I had to give it it's own name and then everything worked just fine.

I bought a similar one off of Amazon. They work really good. Gives me much better coverage on that side of the house and if set up properly the phone will change between the 2 as it moves in the house. Great deal.

Son in law is IT professional, eats and sleeps this stuff. When I was visiting over Christmas he showed me how his "Mesh Network" operates. Good strong signal everywhere and totally seamless. Also not all that expensive. Sold by Google, Amazon, Cisco, etc.
His setup was by Google and worked perfectly.
The range extenders I have used in the past have a delay to them that gets annoying at times.
