A Axis position changed
Started a job and did not finish it at the end of the day and shut the machine down like we normally do at the end of the day. Came in the next morning and booted it up and homed all axis and warm up as normal and continued the job but now the A axis is out of position from the day before (.066 of a degree). No changes from day before. Same program, tool and all offsets. I turned off the machine like normal and then booted it up again, but this time instead or pressing the start button to home all the axis, I went to machine setup and homed A, then Y, then X, but X stopped at limit switch and have error 407 and need to clear limit switch and get off it but can't do. I have done this on other CNC machines but not sure if it was wrong to try and home the axis individually. I have tried to reboot and start over and let the machine home auto but with the X limit tripped it won't. I still need to determine why the A axis position was off when I tried to resume the job. Any help where to go from here would be a appreciated.

Re: A Axis position changed
Did not know that I could simply jog it off the switch. Did that Satuday and homed all just fine. Still having issues with the A repeatability. I noticed when I started working with this machine (started at this place of employment end of August) that the A axis is a lot noisier than other rotaries I have used before. I also noticed the readout on the screen has a red area all the way to the left for the A and the B is green. I will send a report when I get the machine booted.

Re: A Axis position changed
Booted up just fine this morning. Green on both A and B. Going to check A position and see if it is still out. I have attached the report I made this morning.

Re: A Axis position changed
What kind of machine is this? Picture?
A axis a traditional 4th axis?

A560 Articulating Head 5 Axis Machining Center Just tried to take a pic but my phone is dead Charging now. A axis is on table and rotates about x axis on machine. Should I send the report to the moderator? I'm new to this board.
