Hello all, I was wondering if someone can tell me how to wire a normally open ohmic sensor that resides in my z axis and is activated to closed when and only if the torch has a material strike and breaks it away from the z axis. My z axis limit sensor is a also ohmic and NO , the z axis came this way and I've found a replacement ohmic sensor for the limit in Nc but am unable to find an exact replacement for the breakaway torch holder and since its machined into a square recess I think I'm stuck with it, any ideas or suggestions would be great
Thanks Bill

Bill...
You can connect to any open input and set as any unused axis limit, drive fault or nay other setting that will pause motion when the sensor triggers

Re: Ohmic sensor in z axis breakaway torch head
Thanks gary, so for example if I use the 4th axis limit and the torch gets knocked off from a material tilt strike all axis will stop ?

I would assume so, unless there is an internal requirement that a 4th axis has been defined. Test it. if it doesn't work, use "DriveFault" There are a number of input selections that will stop motion when triggered
