VFD rating
I recently began installing the "all in 1" on my cnc milling machine and was wondering what rating of VFD to run the spindle motor and, perhaps brand, that would best suit my needs. It is a knee milling machine with spindle motor specs of 575 volt, 3 PH, 5.6 amp, 1720 RPM and a 5 HP rating. Not sure if this is all that is needed but appreciate any help you can give me.

Re: VFD rating
I recently started doing my research for installing an ALLINONE on my mill and to learn about VFD's. I found a nice Hitachi model and in the process got a hold of a guidline from hitachi that is about using a 3phase input VFD on single phase feed. I found www.polyspede.com and emailed them and they in turn gave me the Hitachi PDF, and told me that the hitachi P1-00600-LFUF is model that I need and redirected me to www.driveswarehouse.com. Polyspede was very helpful!

Do you have 575VAC 3 phase in your shop?optimystictech wrote: ↑Thu Sep 13, 2018 1:31 pm I recently began installing the "all in 1" on my cnc milling machine and was wondering what rating of VFD to run the spindle motor and, perhaps brand, that would best suit my needs. Re: VFD rating
Yes, my machine runs on 575V and is 3 phase.... but I am in the process of wiring the VFD supplied by my employer. It is the Delta VFD-B 037B53A but I am lost in the translation. I have minimal experience wiring VFD's and am wondering if this VFD is suitable for my application. I am installing the Centroid M400 Allin1 system and am at an impasse at the moment. I will say that I suggested the GS2 model but it was decided upon otherwise. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: VFD rating
Does the VFD accept a 0-10v signal? Forward, Reverse, Fault? If so you should be good to go, just a matter of figuring out where the wiring goes. Do you have a manual for the VFD?

Re: VFD rating
I do have the manual but, again, I am a little lost as there are no designations on the physical terminals.
