As above I am sure I have not actively changed much. But I am getting tripping of the Z Quill on the tool measuring button and also the tool measuring when the tool retracts needing me to clear the trip before I can move on while not every single time it is pretty much.
I have not had this before so I am at a loss to know what has changed or how to fix it. It seems like I need to back off tool measure function which caused no problems before just like the homing in the Z which is fine now.
I have a long period of great working of the machine so I hope some kind soul can help me.
Regards Bob.

You didn't post in the Acorn forum.Bob Huntbach wrote: ↑Thu May 31, 2018 3:19 pm As above I am sure I have not actively changed much. What do you mean "getting tripping of the Z quill on the tool measuring button"
Are you saying you are trying to run a job and the software things the tool touch probe is plugged in or?
Did you go to the diagnostic screen ALT+I to see if your probe is tripped?
Looking at your report, CNC12 is seeing probe detect. You need to investigate that input.
Marty

Re: Tool Measure tripping problems on Mill Setup.
Thanks for the reply Marty sorry about the forum.
But to give my problem some context I am having good success with the operation of the machine with various programs I have some sort of bug that even though i have my probe set on -50006 Par 11 and tool setter 50007 Par 44 and this works well but soon as I open the wizard it drops Par 11 straight away and I have to re input it and then it works fine again again unless I go back to the wizard. I think it would be good to have a probe wizard setting like the new one for the tool setter.
My problems seemed to start when I went to remeasure my tools if I press the tool raise button some times it just operates normally without tripping the zed but other time I have to lower the Zed to carry on and pretty much every time I auto measure the tools it trips on retraction. Whereas before it didn't. I realise the problem is unpredictable but it does happen most of the time.
I am still having to remove the probe when I measure a tool which is a pain. The input 7 which is the tool setter does switch states when contact is made and is NC in the wizard designated tool setter if I make it -50007 it checks in the wrong direction. So even though the tool is tripping the input on contact with the tool setter it seems to overtravel by a fraction before it retracts slightly and retouches perhaps this is causing a problem at the top.
I apologise for the length of this as it is quite complex to explain.

Re: Tool Measure tripping problems on Mill Setup. Sorted
Hi just a follow up to this hiccup I realised that this was a weird problem but it happened after upgraded to 4/12 and I noticed that on measuring a tool it seemed to travel on slightly. So after reloading 4/12 with no change I decided to try to slow down the probe feed and this solved the problem so it must have been missing steps between the tool contact and the retract move even though I had not changed it from before.
So back to normal except for every time I go to the wizard it drops the probe input so no big problem as long as I remember to put it back also it would be great if I could leave the probe plugged in at all times.
