I have gotten the Oak board Estop working and limits working my vfd no longer faults when I config axis for z and x the DF light shuts off I have shut down and restart, tripped Estop nothing. Go back and config axis to N and trip Estop DF light comes on I have check wiring on my drives to make sure they are per dmm schismatic I am sure I have config ed some thing wrong just cant see it yet. My drives indicate they are work with a steady green light.

Could we try that first sentence again, but with punctuation?
In the mean time, you could also use the PLC Diagnostic screen to look at MEM40 through MEM57. They are useful flags related to faults, errors, stalls, and whether the control thinks it is ready to run.
For example, you will probably see that MEM40, which is a copy of SV_MASTER_ENABLE, reflects what you see on the DF LED. The PLC will turn SV_MASTER_ENABLE off if it is any any kind of Fault condition (including Stall conditions).
If MEM48 is on (green), that indicates that a stall condition was detected. Often these are encoder-related. If that is the case, you could look at the F3/Encoder menu, under the PID Configuration menu, to see if any of your required encoders (Z, X or Spindle) are showing a Differential or Quadrature error.

Did you ever find a resolution to your problem(s)?

Dmm does not currently work with oak, the encoder feedback from the drives is not reliable enough. I have been working with DMM to get this corrected but no luck yet. I have had them do a firmware update on some dyn4 to correct the issues but the problem has not been corrected. The quadrature errors are fixed but they are still having count errors. If you are in a hurry to get the machine running I would suggest buying some yaskawa or estun servos and drives! I use yaskawa all the time with the oak board and they run beautifully. I only wanted to experiment with the DMM's because I had a set on hand that was used with an acorn and they ran pretty good so I thought I would try to get them to work with the oak board. The guys at DMM are great with customer service but they are extremely slow it took 6 months to get the updated drives that still didn't work. After messing around with them on the oak i have came to the conclusion that if a customer is on a budget that the estuns would be the route as the DMM'S are to big of a headache when it comes to the oak board.

DMM'S are to big of a headache when it comes to the oak board.
This is a major bummer to hear. I just recently purchased the oak and dmm servos to retrofit a lathe. I'm wondering if your comments here are related to why I've got quadrature and differential error on both axises.
Any hope or did I toss $1000 down the toilet on these servos?
This would be a major setback but if there isn't hope I hate to waste significant time bumbling around and banging my head against the wall.

DMM had an Oak board for several months and had it working and even changed their software to be able to invert the Enable circuit.
I have an OAK and DMM servos. I have not had time to bench test them yet as I am knee deep on my Emcoturn 140 lathe conversion.
I did NOT bother with trying to make up my own cables. I purchased the cables ready made from DMM. Its not the DB25 side of things that concerns me, its the small connector on the Acorn side.
Did you guys buy the cables or try to make your own?

When is the last time you worked with DMM?

I bought cables from dmm. Worth noting that dmm buys the cables from centroid. So centroid actually made the cables.

DMM buys the flying lead cables from Centroid and then terminates the DYN4 DB25 end
properly to the correct pins.

That makes sense. Probably a error on my part. When DMM told me they bought the cable from Centroid I assumed Centroid was building the whole cable. Totally could have meant that they bought just the flying lead. It also took them a couple days to ship me the cable after receiving it from centroid which also points to some post processing at DMM before sending it onto me.
