Hello i just got my acorn last week and i installed everything according to the schematics, used the 220 OHM pull up resistors and wired everything accordingly.

I turned on the panel tried to move my motors and got 9031 DRIVER FAULT! I went and checked my the drivers and all of them show fault orange light, when I unplug the 5v supply and turn everything back on I get the green light but when I try to move any motor I keep getting 9031 DRIVER FAULT! error.

Any suggestions on what might be going on.

Also here is a picture of my panel with all the connections for the X axis and the report.

Best regards

Hey agvengineering,

I'd imaging you resolved the issue you were having with your set up (Gecko 203V's).

For other that have the same stepper drivers, I had the same issue and I managed to resolve the issue with the following set up in the Wizard:

In the Primary System Configuration screen, I just set the Axis Drive Type to Other. Then, set the input 5 "Drive Ok" to "NO" (normally open).

The schematics say that the Step and Direction signals need to be Inverted in the Wizard, however I left all of the boxes all unchecked in the Advance Axis Configuration screen. I did try to to leave Input5 as Normally Closed and Invert the Enable in the Advance Config Screen, but that didn't work.

I followed the rest of the schematics exactly as is it is presented (Version 3) including the 5 volt supply via 220ohm resistors and can confirm that all is working great.

So with the above set up I manage to get the steppers run the Pawn g-code successfully with just the E-Stop wired in place, ie, no other inputs or outputs configured.

Out of interest, what is the impact of running input#5, "Drive Ok" in the normally open setting?

Thanks in advance,

Marcus
