I think I read somewhere that the version 5.40 will need to be run on win 11. That it won't run on win10. Is the true?

Windows 10 and 11 are supported by CNC12.

Since we recommend not updating Windows at all once you get the machine running the way you want it really doesn't matter that Microsoft is ending support for Windows 10
