Vfd Help

Hi all im currently upgrading my lathe to a vfd control. I have 3 ways its can be connected and controlled. Id prefer if i can use Settings 2 Guide. As i can have the vfd ramp up and down with direction change. But dont know if it will need custom plc. I added all 3 modes of controling it to see what ways centroid controls the fwd, rev. signals. Im not 100% on the actual timings of on and off is why im posting this here.
Please lmk if you guys see any problems with using control mode 2.

If the machine has a Centroid control with typical PLC logic, then the "simple switch" method is most appropriate.

I would use the middle one 2-SVD with VFD enable and VFD direction outputs
The motor running direction can be change during running, whentherotationdirection switch is toggle during running, the VFD output frequency/motor
speed will ramp down to 0 Hz/RPM , then ramp up output frequency/motorRPM to setting destination .
Because it is ramping down up with M3 M4 in rigid tapping, better to tune for a constant thread depth IMHO

Yes i would like it to work with this option, but im not sure acorn has this logic for vfd control. vfd says the it wants momentary for directions and not switches. So for ramping to work i would need to be spinning fwd on a momentary on SB2 and then command a momentary reverse signal on K all while keeping SB1 on.
Im not sure acorn as momentary logic for switching or turning on a direction for spindle? I think since its using relays its a constant on or off. But please lmk if you all know the logics behind this and if its possible.

Just try in benchtest mode, I do not think VFD direction must be momentary, I think it will change direction if open or closed while VFD enable is on.
