Hello,
I have recently installed a stepperonline a6 servo motor and driver, everything works 0-10v etc but the motor is getting super hot, I’m thinking voltage or torque settings? Could anyone point me in the right dire As to what else I could check?
Many thanks.

Do you use the A6 as a spindle drive?
What size?
rpm for long term and load?

Spindle drive 1000w
Very low rpm no load atm
Still testing

Does it get hot while it is at zero speed?

It does not get hot at idle.

Can you check what load % (Amps or Torque) its running at 400 RPM? Anything mechanically binding?

On my Panasonics, I can see a 'strength' figure, between 1 and 31 which equates to a table of PID settings - I find for spindle use, I run mine really low (like 1 or 2) otherwise I get odd hunting etc. Is there a similar setting on your drive?
