Just doing bench test on my new hickory. Everything was going good until I try to jog motor. (I only have one axis for now) Then I get 9043 X Axis Drive Fault. If I hold on to the motor shaft I can fill it start to move. I have Encoder connection. ((I have jogged the motor and drive with the LS electric CM software.)) When setting up CNC12 I set it up for one axis. I went through set up twice, starting from PC set up and using TB335 instructions.
Drive shows AL-56 . When I get drive fault on CNC12
Page 11-10 of drive manual shows AL-56 fault.

Re: Hickory/ LS drives /Bench test, Will not Jog
I don't see anything clearly incorrect in your report.
Could you please upload the parameter file from the drive? The description of AL-56 in the drive manual covers a lot of possible issues.
If it was controlled successfully from the CM software then I would guess that it is not a wiring issue. Bench testing implies that it is running without a load so I don't see the load binding as a likely issue.
The last thing on their list is try a different drive and motor. If you have them on hand, I would suggest swapping around motors, drives, and cables to see if there is a specific component causing it.

Re: Hickory/ LS drives /Bench test, Will not Jog
I have no other components to try at this time.
But because it runs on the LS software I wound think motor and cables are fine.
I don't know about you but it seems the drive is the likely problem at this time.
Hopefully just configuration.
Here is the parameter file I think I copied it correctly, let me know.
(Sorry I am a rookie.)

we have a beta build for LS. Lucas will email/call/remote in and you and help you get it setup running.AECF wrote: ↑Tue Jun 24, 2025 10:41 am I have no other components to try at this time.
