I/O presets

I am starting the conversion of a machine to Acorn/CNC12. I am using an Ethernet 1616 board. In the Wizard, I can build the inputs and outputs. The system sees the 1616 and jumper testing shows it is working. I want to save this preset and load a simpler preset to start doing the basic bench test now that I have drives. When I select the Advanced I/O Configuration button to create this custom preset, it does not show that there is an expansion board and generates an error when I try to create or export the presets.

Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

Struggling a bit with the question. Are you trying to set outputs so that you can use them later in some custom code?

No, I wanted to save my final presets so that I can load the basic bench test presets to test the drives. Then later, I can load the presets with all the needed I/O

Save a report, then restore a report. That should work as it does all the mapping etc.

what version of CNC12 are you using? please post a fresh report.zip.

and yes, its super easy to save/restore reports for different configurations.
or alternatively, simply copy/rename the entire cncm directory to quickly switch between them.

Hello, can you be more specific on the error that the wizard gives you? Maybe a snip or screen capture of the error, be very useful.

In addition, The expansion Board I/O may not appear in the Preset Box, however it will both save and load the Expansion Board I/O regardless.
