Router vs Mill software

If this is in the wrong place, my apologies.
Some years ago, I converted a mill/turn machine to Acorn and centrinics. It’s a combination machine so I purchased both mill and lathe software licenses. It is awesome products.

I just purchased an industrial level CNC router from China. It is very well constructed and has quality Leadshine servo drives and HQD spindle. It has LMC MW2200 controls. The machine is great, but the controls and software interface are awkward at best and completely undocumented. I am tired of trying to communicate and get this machine online. It is our third router, so we have knowledge of the functionality required for our needs. I want to convert it to Centroid.

I have a couple of basic questions. The router version wasn’t out when I did the mill. Is the only difference screen layout with no loss in functionality? We are particularly wanting probing, Z0 touchoff, … functionality. Also, this machine has 10 tool ATC so we need that functionality.

Also, I’m not sure I can get the number of inputs to 8. If not, do I only need to add the 1616 board?

TIA for any feedback.

There is no loss of functionality with Router. You are correct the menu structure has been fit to router usage. Probing is still fully in Router software. Yes you just at a ether1616 for additional i/o. The ATC is part of the Acorn Pro and / or Ultimate packages

Router CNC12 has all the Router Touch Plate functions build into it.
