Hi- All
Im trying to set up tool changers through a job but am having problems finding the right macro
My set up
I have a fixed tool probe set at the corner of my milling machine and my spindle has an er20 colet system.
So what I'm trying to do is=
1, setup my workpiece in my vice then I set wsc manually then reset all to 0
2, then I would like to set my cutting tool with the tool touch-off probe and when the program asks for a tool change for me to install the next tool and then reset of my tool probe
I hope that makes sense
Thanks Peter

Re: Need help with tool changes
Hi Peter,
We're happy to help you out, we just need a bit more information to do that:
-A fresh report.zip: This contains vast amounts of information on your build.
-Info on components in your build: Drives, motors, switches, etc.
-Links to any manuals and schematics you're using.
-Pictures, video, and screenshots are the only way we can see what you see. The more the better!
See this post for further breakdown of what could be useful information for us:

Re: Need help with tool changes
Thanks for the reply
I tried the diycncscott tool change macro and got it working, so I'm happy with that. However, when I place the mfunc6.mac file into the correct folder (c: cncm), it works fine, but when I power off the PC or shut down Acorn the next time I start it up, the mfunc6.mac file is missing from the folder (c: cncm). It's like it deletes itself, so I keep a copy on my desktop and then transfer it to the correct folder every time I start the PC.
When I'm down it the workshop I will add the report zip file

Re: Need help with tool changes
There's a setting in the Wizard where you have to tell CNC12 that you are using a custom M6 so it doesn't overwrite itself at every power up.peterfieldsend wrote: ↑Mon Mar 24, 2025 5:01 pm Thanks for the reply
