Acorn freezing up... <travel limits?>

Post by supermaxcnc »

Hey guys been running a vmc on a acorn for a while now it works great other than sometimes after running long programs then starting the next program it does unusual things spindle will turn very slow and feeds are slow sometimes it will feed hold automatically and won't respond then it will sometimes force computer into not responding. A simple reboot always solves it. Im running a ELO allin1pc with i5 processor and input would be appreciated!

It looks like it's waiting on the orient signal from the spindle.
Cheers,

Tom

from your first post that sounds like a PC issue, try a different PC, run the Centroid PC Tuner on it and copy the CNCM directory from old PC to new PC and you are good to go.

fyi..the PC your are using has an I3 processor.

I3's Single Thread Rating of 1636 does meet Centroid's minimum of 1500 for mills.
Cheers,
