Boss 6 Conversion Limit Switches
Hi all, trying to figure out my X and Y limit switches. They’re rocker style switches with angle brackets one each axis that represent your max X and Y limits that collide with the rocker. Issue is I’m not sure how to wire these as they’re normally closed and open whenever rocked in either direction. I could jumper them, but then it would simultaneously say the axis has reached its min and max travel.

Re: Boss 6 Conversion Limit Switches
If the switches have just one set of contacts, which is triggered from either direction, then you could use them only for one direction with the Centroid control.
For example, you could configure such a switch to be the X- limit and home; tell the control that there is no X+ limit or home; and set your software travel limits so that, after homing to the switch in the minus direction, you cannot move so far plus that you trip the switch in the plus direction.
Alternately, you could replace the switches with two separate switches; or with a bidirectional switch that has independent contacts; or with a dual-plunger switch (Euchner or Balluff style) with independent contacts.
