The basic units are encoder counts and encoder counts per interrupt (1/4000 second). Translation to RPM or in/mm is in the legend.
You can zoom to whatever resolution you prefer. I find that F5, F6, and F7 Zoom buttons are normally adequate. If you connect a mouse, you can shift + right mouse for a dynamic zoom that works very well.
