Lathe motor won't change directions (DURAPULSE GS20) <resolved>

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a VFD and motor for my Dyna Myte 3000 Acorn conversion. I found the wiring diagram on the schematics webpage, and it seems to be almost functional. However, I'm having trouble with the motor not being able to reverse. Everything appears to be connected correctly, but it's just not working as expected. Attached is my report file and my Wizzard settings.
The number 5 output relay switches from open to closed when I press the M3 and M4 buttons, but the motor doesn't change directions.

My VFD is a DURAPULSE GS20 Series

Please let me know if you see something off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Lee

I dont know the brand of VFD but could it be that it needs to have the reverse option enabled? Does it have default inputs that are used, IE, input 1, forward, input 2, reverse? If so, bridge them locally (bypass Centroid) and see if the VFD has both modes enabled.

Thanks for the response, Chaz. I did do a bench test on this setup, and I had forward and reverse when using the VFD keypad. The VFD is a Durapulse GS20. I will double-check it again from the keypad so that I can rule that out. Thanks for suggesting that.

I identified my issue when I revisited the VFD to double-check the settings on the keypad. I found that one of the parameters was incorrect; it hadn't been switched to use the external terminals. Thank you, Chaz, for encouraging me to review the parameters!
