Spindle auto run problem

The spindle will run in man mode with speed and direction control, but when put in auto mode it will move slightly in the proper direction and then
fault out. The spindle drive is an older Fuji DSR compact. To ensure that the fault was not coming from the Fuji drive the spindle fault input number
10 was forced on with the same results. We do have feed back from the spindle encoder.

Are you saying that you continued to get "9028 SPINDLE FAULT!" messages after you forced INP10 to be on?

Or are you saying that you continued to get fault conditions after you forced INP10 to be on, but perhaps the fault messages changed from "9028 SPINDLE FAULT!" to "412 Spindle axis(8) encoder differential error"?

What RPM did you start it at, when you ran it in Manual spindle mode?

What RPM did you start it at, when you ran it in Auto spindle mode and got either a 9028 spindle fault, or perhaps a 412 spindle encoder differential error?

The problem was the original 24 vdc power supply. It was just a bridge rectifier and did not provide a stable enough signal to keep the inputs energized.
INP10 Spindle Inverter OK, and INP11 EStop OK where becoming intermittent, but only when the Spindle was energized in Auto.
The Spindle would run in Manual mode. I'm not exactly sure why that was happening.
The DC supply in question supplied the old Fanuc controls and relay logic.

need more info, sketch of how you have it wired, photos etc..
