Hypertherm 45 xp Voltage Divider

I have a Hypertherm 45 XP it has a voltage divider. Factory defaults are 50:1 but it also says it has a maximum output of 16v. How do I change this to 10v maximum for the THC?

I asked the same a while back and I was told on here that its ok and not to worry, i still havent finished my cabinet so not running to tell you first hand. i think its a fair bit more being another 6volts and thought it would cause damage but have been told by cncKeith ALL OK. can cnckeith confirm?

Pretty sure whats going on is the voltage divider has a couple options like 30:1 or 20:1. At the lowest divided ratio the Voltage could reach 16v. So at 50:1 you should be less than the 10v max.

cheers joey, and thanks for reply. i forgot to answere, when im up and running i will read voltage output from cpc output and see what it reads, hang on, i cant really unless its cutt
ing at full amps to check voltage level? cheers

I'm not so sure Amperage has much to do with the divided voltage output. Just the distance the ARC has to jump. But I guess the Higher the Amperage the further the ARC can jump so you may be right
If your going to check might as well make the cut at 45amps

im just thinking like welders where voltage and amps go up together on the auto machines. anyway set at 50;1 like all are saying cant be wrong as every man and his dog run the xp range. Why I have you here, for me to get all the hypertherm installed cut settings and thicknesses speeds etc is that loaded in with the software or do i externally install it from another source?...cheers

To change Cut Charts just Load a new profile set in the Profile manager.
Make sure the THC Calibration Job is ran with the correct Cut chart/Profile set Loaded.
