Need help to figure out where my problem is. My travel settings that were set to within a thou. per inch changed arbitrarily on one axis. When I try to go to the wizard to change the tuning setting, I cannot access it. The wizard icon flashes briefly on the screen but does not open. Once this happens it does not matter how many times I try to open the wizard I get the same result. If I shut all down and come back later to try, I can somtimes get to the wizard one time. It shows that the settings are where I set them but the travel is not accurate anymore with that setting. Is there a way to determine if this is a computer problem or centroid software problem ? If not for the access to the wizard problem I would think it is a stepper drive problem.
Thanks,
Scott

Re: Cannot access Wizard
have you run the Centroid CNC PC Tuner?
and please
post a fresh report.zip
and give much more information about the PC you are using.
is the Wizard simply minimized and on the task bar?

Re: Cannot access Wizard
The first thing I would try is to restore an older saved report. You don't say which software version you are running and didn't include a report so everyone will just be guessing without better info.

Re: Cannot access Wizard
Thank you for your help. I will start by answering what I can. The computer I am using is a HP M01-F1224 Mfg 9/30/21. Windows 11, 512 GB SS drive,
DDR4-3200 SDRAM memory. This was purchased to use exclusively with Centroid for my gantry mill. I followed the online instructions for getting the computer ready and loading the software. It has the online shut off as per instructed.I am using stepper online nema 34 motors and matching drives. The steppers have built in encoders with feed back to the drives. There are no additional encoders feeding back to the acorn. This is the third time the travel has changed, and when it does it stays accurate to the change. The last time I intended to mill a 1" hole through half inch steel.I did this just 10 thou at a time and did not realize the travel on Y had changed. After 50 passed to get the bore done it was an oblong hole, but was a mirror finish all the way through, dead accurate on the 1" but about 1.25 on the Y. As to the access to the wizard. I use the utility button to get to the wizard button. When I press the wizard button, the icon appears above the button bar as usual but just for about half a second and then dissapears and the wizard does not open. The version I am using is Acorn 12 V 4.64. Can you tell me the process to get to an older saved report that would help clarify the problem. I know I can go to the reports, but don't know exactly how to get to the specific report you want to see?
Thanks,
Scott
