Been reading a lot of posts and a lot of the questions a guy might have are answered by do this or that in the wizard.
Is there a Hickory Wizard in the future?

it will be available in beta soon and well be released as CNC12 v5.2. It will have an Acorn style Wizard for Hickory!
right now, we are putting the final touches on the new Router version of CNC12 for Acorn (v5.18) which will be ported to Hickory in version v5.2.
note: you will be able to use the Hickory Wizard or if you are used to doing the setup manually you can do it that way to. (using the Wizard is not mandatory)
Also, the Router and Plasma version of CNC12 for Hickory is also planned for v5.2 so, a lot is happening!

Thanks Keith, another general question:
I noticed in news letter that version 5.1 is available now. What is the thought on updating? Is it best practice to always stay up to date, or is it more of a “ if it ain’t broke don’t fix it thing”?
I understand when something big like the Wizard is coming it would be nice to have the capability, but reading through the notes in 5.1 I don’t see much that matters and don’t know of any issues I have.
Just looking for best practice here?

read the release notes, if there is something there you want then install the new version, if not, and you don't have any outstanding issues, leave things alone.
also, it is VERY simple to switch back and forth between CNC12 versions. so if you just want to check out a new version you can do it and it does not destroy your good install.
