CNC12 v5.1 RC7 (which is build #17806) went up last night with these fixes and improvements which have also been added to the Release notes today.

50. 452 Ethernet Communication Error message has been inadvertently suppressed and will not display in the CNC12 message box or logs files. Even if the board ethernet cable is completely disconnected from the CNC12. Not to worry though, there are other CNC12 ethernet communication error messages that will appear even though this main error message has been inadvertently disabled. Fixed in R17806+ (RC7) 4-29-24

51. Hickory Installer Option "Copy Manuals to Desktop" does not work. Workaround: Navigate to C:\cncx\manual to find manuals. (X of course is "m" or "t" for mill/lathe) Fixed in R17806(RC7)+ 4-29-24

52. G-Code Display shows up on the Setup Menu when if a bad password was entered for Config Menu or ATC Setup is run. Fixed in R17806(RC7) + 4-29-24

53. The behind the scenes Wizard logic was reversed on the use a Touch Probe as the reference tool selection.
Fixed in R17806(RC7)+ 4-29-24

54. Plasma only

The VCP button “Laser Set XY” file name was wrong.

Fixed in R17806(RC7)+ 4-29-24

55. Plasma only. In the Wizard selecting any of the Custom Outputs selection will cause the Wizard to crash. Fixed in R17806+

56. Improved Ethernet Communications from the PC to the BBG on Acorn which should eliminate having to go to the “half duplex” setting to pass the Communications Stress Test with some Intel Ethernet chips sets. The issue was found to be repeatable with Intel I226-V NICs. These are common in newer NUCs and the Beelink mini PC. This issue was not observed with older PCs with I218-V or I219-V NICs. Which explains why some users would have this issue and others would not.

fyi...you can tell which build you are running by the text file reportXXXXXXXXX.txt (inside the report.zip you will find this .txt file) on line 7

First I thought you forgot the downloadlink, but then

Must be on the website as public version :D

I needed 5.1 for CHIPS, now waiting for the BOB version...

Down in the rabbit hole again messing with settings..... :D

The new Util button on the VCP is nice, but I changed it so that the StressTest is located in the cncm/system folder, because /ncfiles is for me a working folder with only the currently used files.

So if a stupid user like me wipes the /ncfiles folder, StressTest from Util button will not work.

Maybe worth considering for the next build.

I also added a Load Tool function for the mill/router. I know for router there is an extra button, but why should simple mill users be handicaped ? 🤣

yes on both.

- set tool # should have been on the mill VCP as well.

fyi..the new tool library i am working on also has it as a function key as well so you don't have to have it on the VCP if you don't want to.

- and good idea on the stress test, we will do that!

Do you know new CHIPS from swissi ?
Good approach on the tool lib there with im/export and fusion import.

Fusion import would rock! Then I can keep my HSM AND my CNC12 libraries all in sync with Fusion easily!
