I found a workaround to get V5 Demo running and setup like my real machines. I edit cnctcfg.xml to set up the axis

But on the lathe Y axis does funny things, no moving in MDI, but if I run the default pawn.cnc Y axis is moving with no Y commands in the g-code...

That would be great, even better if offline VCP would work also like in the normal version...

.... Start Stop and Feedrate override would be cool to test g-code offline with VCP (I hate ALT+S)

yes, i agree, but it hasn't been a high priority, i will have an offline/emulator with basic VCP function soon.
offline = no PLC controller = no plc program to interact with, so its not as simple as you might think to do.

emulator cycle start, cancel, , feed hold, jogging we can get working, all the rest of the VCP buttons that require PLC logic... maybe not.

Cool that offline now is with VCP

Mill works fine, lathe crashes on config motor and after creating report.

Yep, I'm getting same Unhandled Exception results as Uwe on the new Offline but on BOTH Lathe and Mill after creating Report (which it successfully does) and just entering Motor config.

Note that in my case I had run MS Updates which included the .NET 6.0.18 Security (KB5027797) and Cumulative Net Framework (KB5027538) updates BEFORE installing v5.04 Offline

Another very minor glitch with the offline build:
When graphing I sometimes make use of CTRL- (minus) to slow down the redraw. To resume normal redraw graphing speed, I need to exit Offline build and restart as CTRL+ is inoperative.

Ctrl- and Ctrl+ both work when using the qwerty part of the keyboard. Only Ctrl- works when using the number pad part of the keyboard.


The crashing of the offline build is related to some features that were created that were not pathed properly. This will be fixed for the next release, but a simple workaround for the time being would be to create a cncm directory for mill offline or a cnct directory for lathe offline. The features were created for the actual boards so no functionality is missing from the offline build due to this bug.

Hello I have the following problem when installing
It always asks for the US time.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to change that.
Everything was great up to V4.8, now I can't do it anymore.
