I use Euchner mechanical (Jeez, I nearly typed Eunuch )

Thank you everybody. I had no idea I would be reinventing the wheel by using these optical switches. I used them on Mach 3 and Mach 4 and two different control boards with no issues so I figure I had to be doing something wrong.

I have a couple Balluff and Euchner in a box collecting dust. Those things are huge!

Since I was dealing with the limit switches I hadn't messed around with the spindle and VFD yet. I'm waiting on the new sensors to arrive so I was looking at the VFD and spindle today.

I am able to get the VFD to "click" when I activate the spindle in CNC12 and change the speed shown on the readout of the VFD but the spindle does not turn on in either direction.

I do have 24v across the COM and 24V terminal so I connected the wiring as suggested back a few pages. I also reprogrammed the VFD.

I am suspecting it not actually turning on the spindle may have to do with all the issues I was having using the estop and trying to use a contactor and my general idiocrasy when it comes to electricity. I was able to get my servos working great once I removed all estop type connections but I did not make any changes to the way the spindle setup was done per the schematic.

I am planning on having a buddy that does motor control panels come over and help me do the contactors and estops correctly sometime in the next week but in the meantime how would I wire the AcornSIX for the spindle to work without the estop stuff mixed in so I can see if that's my issue.

Cut the contactor out of the wiring on S15158 - put the VFD enable signal directly between the Acorn output relay and the VFD input.

Just make sure you remember you did that and bring the E-stop back in when you figure out the issues

So I'm basically running a jumper from the middle connection on Out5 to the bottom connection on Out4?
