Hey guys, I'm looking for some limit switch suggestions.

Euchner mechanical specifically N01K550-M which I use on both Mill and Lathe. This has a tip accuracy of 30 microns for the ball tip variant or 20 microns if you prefer the chisel tip. More importantly, the repeatability is excellent and I have had no problem using Home for tool-setting

They also have a protection rating of IP67

Not sure what you mean here...What am I missing?

if you have a bad switch or one not hooked up yet, you can override the input using the PLC diagnostic menu to "clear" it , if you need to do other things before fixing the switch. just be sure to go back and fix the switch and return the input to the normal state.

I'm looking to replace the crappy limit switches that came with the upgrade. I use flood coolant so I'm assuming I'll need Sealed (budget/decent) Switches. I also think a "plunger" style is best.

Your thoughts?

On multiple machines, I've never had problems with Euchner plunger switches, series SN:

Were you looking for decent or budget switches? Those two terms are exclusive.

These Euchners are top notch, I have them on conventional controlled machines running on oil cooling switching every few seconds for years with no problems.

Hey folks. No matter how many times I go through the process of "adjusting overall turns ratio" in Y axis it stays off. I repeat the process to measure/verify the actual distance using 1-2-3 block(s) and the number is 0.002-0.005 off from correct.

Anyone have a suggestion of what to check next?

Adjusting the turns ratio cannot correct for poor mechanicals. Loose belts, poorly meshing gears/racks, slipping couplings, sloppy gibs, loose bearings, loose ways or guide rails, or sloppy gear reducers will all affect repeatability.
