Motors are energized. Only time A axis shows is when not paired to 2. Dose it not show when paired? do not know why images are reversed and upside down

If you are using two stepper motors on a gantry axis they need to be paired. When paired they are used to drive the same axis so it will not show it as the A axis.

Are all axis working looks like you trying to run gcode

Do you have a "Pro" license installed? Without it axes wont pair

There is a free copy of Mill / Lathe software. The Pro version (cost circa $130) allows 'more'. In this case it sounds like to use the slave facility you need the Pro version.

Search Hardware Axis Pairing
IF you use the SOFTWARE to pair the axis you need Pro
