I'm still here! I've been focused on family and work while I impatiently waited for some new parts. Sourcing some of the flow metering valves for the automatic oiling system was a pain and the first parts we got were wrong. Not short lead time items. All said and done we are back at it. Moglice has been molded to the X and Y saddles. Last night I cut the oil grooves into the Y saddle way liners and got it flipped over and ready for all new lube lines and fittings tonight. The grooves are cut in with a carbide burr in a Dremel. I sketched out the lines and then used some straight edges to cut them in. Afterwards the surface gets treated lightly with a stone to take down any burrs or minor imperfections/projections from the surface.

I should mention that prior to casting the way liner in place the whole machine was fit up with shims of appropriate thickness and all tolerances were checked across the whole bed and table. Looking really good!
