and screen shots of the wizard i/o , homing , pairing and axis configuration menus.
video is great.. but i can't tell how your machine is configured by looking at the video.

sorry...but...i've asked nicely several times for a report.zip file , you are making it impossible to help...
i'm going to enforce the forum rule... no fresh report.zip.. no tech support.
:D

Other than Marty's mentions Windows issue, I have only seen that previously when a home switch triggers that is not on the axis in motion. Can you verify by using the ALT + I live IO screen that your limits are set to the axes they are assigned to in the Wizard IO screen?
Here's the second video Gary.

Thank you for helping me out,

ok thanks.. question

why do you have two Y axis labels?
report shows you have Y axis software paired to 4th axis, which is great...
report also shows that you have changed the 4th axis label to Y, which is not great.
fix it by setting the 4th axis to its default label "N" when using software axis pairing. to do this... change the 4th axis label in the wizard to "N" and press "write settings to cnc control" let it save it, then reboot cnc12 and your homing will work!

for detailed axis pairing instruction follow the directions here.
http://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_diy ... _guide.pdf

when you Pair an axis with the 4th axis ...for example using your setup... the Y axis (2nd axis) is software paired in the Wizard with the 4th axis. This means the 4th axis is the Slaved to the Y axis (2nd axis) and when you slave the 4th axis to anothe axis the 4th axis must have "N" as the label (which means NO label) you can not use an axis label such as X, Y, Z, A, B, W for the 4th axis if it is slaved to another axis.

why do you have two Y axis labels?
Because I'm a idiot and should have put the zip file on a flash drive and upload it like I was supposed to so you could look at my settings to begin with.

When I first set up the wizard and the slaved axis was greyed out on the homing and travel screen I changed it from N to Y thinking it would let me change the values like in 4.12. I forgot to change it back when I realized the wizard now sets the values for you. I just changed it back to N and guess what.... the homing sequence works now and sets the home position. I was wondering why there were two y's showing, I thought it was something new lol.

Anyway forgive me for wasting space on the thread for something that would have been solved with one post. Anyone that reads this don't be stubborn like me and just take the time and post the zip file. It will be much faster in the long run trust me.

Thank you very much Keith you the man,

Dan

Thanks again Keith and here's a old video running on 4.12.

I'll post some new ones on my build thread once I have auto square set up and the tool change macro reinstalled. I'm also getting ready to order a mpg from you guys in the next couple weeks.

Need Help. Loaded GCoded files don't start. Followed update to a tee. Attached is report file after the update. I saved diycncscott's mfun6jogtotooltouchoff-tt1.mac and renamed as mfun6.mac in cnc dir. I think I have the probe setup properly. I can trigger the port 7 light between red and green.

the error message logs shows lots of limit switch tripped messages. cnc12 isn't going to run a g code program with a limit tripped or probe.
what kind of limits are installed? and are they NC or NO switches?
what kind of Probe? mechanical or conductive? if mech what is the trigger state?
post a screen shot of the Wizard i/o table so i can see how you have them configured for NO or NC.

I don't know where those limit switch triggers came from. There were a number of limit switch triggers during setting up the homing sequence, but I thought those were all clear by the time i was attempting to cut something.

Attached is a new report zip file from this morning. The PC and Acorn were off all night. I did have trouble with the PC establishing communication with the acorn this morning. First time I ever noticed an issue. I restarted the PC, power cycled the acorn and eventually, I got it to connect. About 3 tries. What is the proper sequence for starting everything? Mine has been - PC - then Acorn then CNC software.

The machine homed properly and moved to its proper g28 position. I loaded a previously run gcode file and hit cycle start. All worked as it should. The bit touched off properly on the touch plate using the mfun6 macro and the program started cutting.

All good for now. Thanks for the quick look at and response to my post yesterday.

I found one problem with tool touch off. I am not sure if it is related to new version, but I have never seen it before.

To begin with, I am at work now and can not send any report or pictures until this evening.

I am working with version 14 - Mill in metric units only.

PROBLEM:
When I set the touch off slow speed to less than 25mm/min then it does not always complete the touch off cycle.
If I set the slow speed to less than 20 mm/min then it never finishes. The info window is showing "moving" but there is no movement and no DRO change. I have to abort the cycle and change the slow speed to greater than 25mm/min (Using 30 now) then it completes the cycle and Z DRO updates correctly.

It would be good if someone could try the touch off with a slow speed of 12mm (0.5") per minute and see if you have the same problem.

Will send report and picture this evening.

Thanks.

Why are you running the cycle so slowly?
