Test it on the bench before connecting to Acorn, but I don't think you will have a problem....probably moreso with programming the drive.

What is COM what is GND,,? I tested lead 24vdc to the GND , no reading, i got reading with COM lead, and from acorn COM, should i hook to which ? COM or GND to the drive?

GND is Earth safety Ground. Sometimes referred as Chassis Ground. For example, you should have a ground from the electrical circuit feeding the machine. From it, all metalic parts of the machine and it's components are connected to. If a hot wire (line wire) makes contact, it blows a fuse or trips a circuit hreaker.
Com(mon) is the negative side of the DC power supply used to control a circuit for a given device. For example The +24vdc of Acorn's logic power supply feeds Acorn. The -24vdc (Com) is the return path.
I'm a little concerned that you may not have basic electrical understanding of what you need to know in order to carry out the conversion safely. You should consider finding someone to help you or check over your work.

Hi marty, yes i dont have the knowledge about electronic, dc, but i know a bit about ac, i can make a wiring for a house,, but about this COM,GND,PE, things make me a confused, no i think i got the picture,, leave the GND,PE alone right? COM is -0v ,, and the COM from acorn to the drvie i just pick any COM lead, is that ok? Or to Xcom lead?martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 8:26 amGND is Earth safety Ground. Now you are not asking a basic question. Please show me "PE"Rosmadi wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 10:29 amHi marty, yes i dont have the knowledge about electronic, dc, but i know a bit about ac, i can make a wiring for a house,, but about this COM,GND,PE, things make me a confused, no i think i got the picture,, leave the GND,PE alone right? Xcom from your spindle drive is the reference for ITS inputs NOT Acorn. In otherwords you need XCOM to activate its inputs.

Re: Chinese hsd spindle
PE on other eloctronic thing,, that y i say i confused, sorry for that,, back to the basic, so i can pick any com? Or not necessarily need COM connection for spindle cw,ccw only for analog control?

Re: Chinese hsd spindle
"...pick any com" I have no idea what you are referring to, what part of the control are you working on?
VFD:
XCOM is another way of hooking up the VFD digital inputs according to the diagram you posted.
I made my connection suggestions on a previous post.
Rosmadi, I think you need to find someone with some electrical/electronic control background to help you out. Ultimately how you wire and connect is up to you.

Re: Chinese hsd spindle
Dear marty, i am referring into this,, and the picture, vfd common referring to acorn board, i take the com and i connet to any com on the drive, or no com is needed,martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 10:15 am My best guess:
DI1 = Forward
DI2 = Reverse (Speed Position Switching)
DI8 = Fault Reset
COM = Digital Input Common
DO3+ = Drive Failure (Input X)
DO3- = Drive Failure (Acorn COM)
AI3+ = Acorn Spindle Analog Ouput +
AI3- = Acorn Spindle Analog Output COM
of course you have to set the parameters appropriately.

Re: Chinese hsd spindle
Rosmadi,
You are using an OLD schematic! You do not connect directly to Acorn outputs any longer, you use the output relay board.
Can you please take a picture of your Acorn board?
This is why I say "We can't SEE what you SEE" You are making assumptions we know what you are working with.
