I have one of the older boards in this machine but have two more on order for the next two machine. And yes on connecting to green terminal blocks. I am using the schematic off the Centroid site.
Post a report.
Did you notice the STICKY post on the main page about this potential issue?

Thanks Marty

I did read that. I fixed this by powering up the Acorn 24 V then powering up the 5 volt power supply. Its works for now I have it wired up exactly as instructed by Centroid. The DMM 4 motor and drives work perfectly with the DMM software but so far I I am unable to get the Centroid to control the Motors. Acorn communicates and I successfully upgraded to latest software . I do appear to have a lot of noise on the 25pin cables from the DMM to the Centroid. I am making new cables with the hope that it will be quieter and I am rechecking my wring from the Drives to the Acorn I have version 2 but i just ordered two more boards. Any suggestions on getting a good connection between the DMM4 Drives and the Acorn Board

Thanks

Chuck

DMM DYN2 or DYN4 drives?
DYN2 connect to DB25
DYN4 connect to Acorn Terminal Blocks

DMM DYN2 or DYN4 drives?
DYN2 connect to DB25
DYN4 connect to Acorn Terminal Blocks

Dyn4 Drives connected to Terminal Blocks. I am remaking the cables and I installing a Dual Voltage power supply as shown in the latest DynY4 wiring diagram.

I am rechecking the wiring to see if there is a bad connection. I am wiring one drive at a time. The Acorn works fine on my test bench with Content Stepper drives and motors and the DYN4 works fine when connected to the tuning software so the error has to be in the wiring harness between the Drive and the Acorn board.

Power on update. the new dual 5 v and 24V power supply works great no more power up issue. The power supply with the Acorn I received this week is a dual unit and works without any problem. I have it connected to a $ axis system using DMM servos and Drives. DYN4

Thanks for the follow up report. So many people don't come back and post the outcome. This helps others when they run into a similar problem.
Thank you again, enjoy your machine and Centroid. Post pictures of it!

Hi Marty Pictures of the progress on the plasma Build Posted. It is benched and running all 4 axis. Moving it over to the Frame Tomorrow and will put up some pictures and video. The new Dual voltage Power supply works great It came standard on the Acorn I received this week I am also going to test the wireless MPG on this Gantry build

Nice.
Suggest you start a new topic with your build pictures and explanation.
