UPDATE:

Original issue of Error 452 ethernet communication issue was fixed by upgrading the software to V5.1. I've been running the cnc all day and haven't had a single error.

Thank you to everyone who assisted in this process.

Wow, I go outside to work on my "honey-do" list in the yard and I come back and your machine is fixed, that's great.

One more question...

I am getting inconsistencies with my cut depths on tool #1 which is my 3/8 compression profile cutter. I will touch it off multiple times in a row and it varies neg and pos .02. I can get it to stay the same or close after a few touch offs but then I have cut issues.

I just ran a file, two separate but identical profile cuts, first one cutting inside and second one cutting outside. The inside cut perfect 2 passes goal dept is .686. Second outside tool path cut .04 into the spoilboard and I can't figure out what's happening. The last 3 sheets of plywood I've run have all be different.

I've attached a new report and screenshots. The thing I am concerned with is the "Tool Measurement Reference Method". Should I set it to ZHome =Zref or reference tool?

Thanks for your help again.

I use Z home on my routers as the reference. This is only accurate if you have accurate and repeatable homing.

What kind of tool touch off do you have? Is it a good quality one? What is your "slow" touch off rate set to?

OK, thats what I have mine set to as well.

Touch off is a HNC, I paid a few hundred dollars for is a couple years ago, but I've never had this problem in the past on V4.

Slow rate is 50 IPM.
