I also like #294B64 which is closely related.
Dopely Colors is a tremendous resource for selecting a proper color palette https://colors.dopely.top/palettes

Thanks cnckeith for the centroid font family!

Thanks for providing... I couldn't figure it out at first but I got it now. I put the <background> tag in my default skin. Looks really nice... But the default blue on the left side is still blue (even though I change ALL the theme.xml files. How do I edit the left side?

VCP Custom Panel.png
Use the Color Picker Utility. It's under the Utilities sub menu, not through VCP.
If you want to do it directly you can edit the XML file in the Colors folder. The default is Centroid Classic. If you look at the XML file I attached you can look for instances of those two blue shades (294965 and 294b64) and replace the default blue directly.

I took your xml file and copy pasted it into the classic theme. Looks very nice, thanks a lot. Now to actually get some work done.

The default colors remind me of websites from the 1990s... back when we had a 16-color pallet... the blue in particular just shouts "last century." Not that I have an opinion or anything. Since I'm just starting out on my own CNC12-based router adventure, I'll put up with it getting more comfortable with the work flow. Given that I just learned what button to push to home the axes, it'll be a while :).

IMHO the default colors maybe classic looking, but they have a very good readability, so my dark scheme is like a short tuner joke, original performance nearly achieved  🤣

Your colors look great. Would you mind sharing the file that contains these colors. If so please message me directly as I do not get notified if someone responds to my posts.

Thanks... Richard
