Re: instaled THC now loosing steps
Ok I reloaded the software and ran through the wizard. Now I'm stuck on the Primary Axis Drive Type setup. I had a custom drive setup in the old software. I created a new Custom but right now, they are all 6400. My old report before the reload shows 2000 for the X and Y and 10,000 for the Z.
How do I modify the steps per revs settings for a Custom Axis Motor Drive?
I do have the Axis config done.

Re: instaled THC now loosing steps
In the wizards configuration screen you can just type in 2000 steps per rev.
Loading a preset just helps get you started and save some time. You can change everything to when your machine type is.

Just revert back to the last build. You can print the Wizard settings by hitting ctrl-p on the keyboard when your in the wizard.
When you installed 5.08 the previous setup was backed up in the windows local C drive.
You will see a folder starting with cncm_backup in the local C drive. This is your previous software version.
Just back up your current cncm folder that is in the the local C drive by changing the cncm folder name to somei other than cncm.
Then change the cncm_backup folder to cncm.
Now when the cnc12 desktop icon is selected it will open the previous backup software setup you had.

Re: instaled THC now loosing steps
Joey,
I'm jumping in as I have been helping Bak in the background. I did a uninstall before the software reinstall tonight. (Downloaded a fresh copy) I also ran the PC tuner before the reinstall.
Will this backup still be available?
If so I can certainly do your suggestion tomorrow. I did print a report before doing the uninstall as you suggested and after the reinstall set the parameters back up to match. If we do the backup reload I fear we will be back in the same situation that caused us to do the uninstall to start with.
After we had the parameters setup back in Wizard we could only move any axis just a little bit before getting the 9031 Drive Faulted alarm.
Bak remembers watching a setup video in regards to setting up the drives and step counts. (Not the general Acorn install video). Are you aware of this videos location?
Regards

Re: instaled THC now loosing steps
The back up file is always there unless it is deleted.
The only reason to revert back to the previous version is to look at what the previous wizard settings were.
Can you post a fresh report from the 5.08 version you are on please
Can you take a clearer picture of all three driver's dip switches. What is the model of the drives?
Can you take pictures of any labels on the drives?

Re: instaled THC now loosing steps
So the drives pictures look to match the wizards config settings at 6400 steps.
The overall turns ratio also matches.
There must be something different with the drive fault input in the wizard between these two builds. Have you looked at the wizards input menu and compared between 5.08 and 5.06?
